Campus Rec Hero Honored

Ben Asmus, an employee of the Outdoor Program in Campus Recreation was honored Tuesday for his efforts to save a man who drown in Sewell Park.

Bat Flight Float

Canoe off into the sunset on Lady Bird Lake with the Adventure Trip Program! Each night, at dusk, millions of bats take flight from under Congress Bridge in Austin in search of a meal. From the unique vantage point of a canoe, you will witness this truly amazing event. Transportation, instruction and equipment included!
Trip Dates: June 25 & July 18 | 7:00-10:00 pm

Whitewater Kayak Instruction

Have you always wanted to try some whitewater paddling, but didn’t know where to start? Then come get some personal instruction from our Adventure Trip Program staff. We can provide a two-day instruction series, covering everything from the ground up. We offer individual as well as group instruction! Call the Outdoor Center today to make an appointment.

Flash Fest Bouldering Climbing Competition

4pm Saturday May 2nd at the RockWall, 10 people participated in the Flash Fest Bouldering Climbing Competition. The competition was in Red Point format and had 4 categories by climbing level and 25 bouldering routes.
